Aloha P2 Family and Friends! This week we created an informational book about the Winter Olympics. For our first page, we got to list and draw our four most favorite Winter Olympic sports. Janet's favorite sports included snowboarding, skiing, skeleton, and hockey:

For our next page, we created a "Parts of" page. We got to choose one of our favorite Winter Olympics sport, and labeled the equipment the Olympian needs to compete. Janet chose a skier.

Next, we created a "Fun Facts" page about the Winter Olympics. We each chose three of our favorite facts. We all learned so much about the Winter Olympics!

This week we also concentrated on the main idea and details of a book. Our book this week was called "This Is The Way We Eat Our Lunch" by: Edith Baer. It was about the type of foods people of different countries eat for lunch. This is a fun activity that everyone can do at home!

On Thursday, our Spirit Cards went home in our Thursday Envelope. Each student received a total of 10 Spirit Cards. Each Spirit Card costs $10 each, and this year we can only accept cash payments. All monies and unsold Spirit Cards are due March 7th. This year, the grand prize winner (the student who sells the most in the entire school) gets to chose between an iPad or 2 Bruno Mars tickets, so sell, sell, sell! Also, for every Spirit Card you sell, you get a prize, so the more you sell the more prizes you get.
