Aloha Family and Friends!
The highlight of our week was on Thursday when we made rain sticks! Since we have been learning about South America we made Chilean rain sticks. The kids loved it! They all created unique and colorful instruments!
In phonics this week we have been learning about the letter C. Everyone wrote and drew everything they knew about the letter C. They had to fit it all on to one Post-it note!
Then we stuck them to our mind map. Later the kids went back and added more things about C to the map.
It's November which means Thanksgiving is right around the corner! This week we had a new activity added to our math centers. To play the game you roll a die and then color in a part of the picture with the same number. You take turns with a partner and who ever finishes their picture first wins!
Next week we will be learning about the letter Ii. Kids can bring in items from home that begin with I.
Next week we also return to our regular school schedule, so school will be dismissed at 2pm. Wednesday is Veteran's Day and there will be no school.
See you all next week!
Mrs. Kawai
